Commission information for 2010-2011

VnV Studios is open to a LIMITED number of custom orders in 2010-2011. PLEASE inquire if there is room for you before sending anything to me.
Between July 10 and September 1st I am taking a vacation from custom orders and my books are currently closed to any new commissions. I will continue to offer finish pieces, please check back in September if you're looking for a trade or a commission! All current orders will be finished though.
This page has information for COMMISSION models only painted on the bodies listed below. If you are looking for me to paint a body you have please see the ordering information page instead.
Quality
I believe in creating beautiful custom models of quality. However I do not at all state that my horses are suitible for live showing. My horses are intended for display or photo showing purposes only. If you choose to live show them that is your right but I DO NOT at all guarantee they will show well in a live show.
My models sometimes have small flaws such as brushstrokes or imperfect seams. If this will extremely bother you please find another artist. I strive to do the best I can but I am not striving for perfection and if you are you will need an artist seeking the same goals as you are.

Booking Information:
At this time I will only take five custom orders per month and I will not book ahead.
Colors Available:
At this time my books are open for custom orders for the following colors ONLY. Please don't ask me to do any other colors these are the only ones I am currently offering. This page will be updated if I choose to offer more in the future.
I will accept orders for Blue Black, Red Bay, Dark Bay, Red Chestnut (can be flaxen), Bay Silver, Black Silver. I will paint pinto patterns up to 75% white. I will paint blanket or leopard appaloosa patterns.
Dilutes - please contact me with idea. I will not guarantee I will paint one but I might.
I will not paint roan, grey or champagne at this time.
I WILL NOT PAINT SUNBURNT BLACK. EVER.
At this time I am not offering foal coat colors. Adult models or foals that could pass as yearlings and up only please.
Turnaround time:
At this time my turnaround time is about a month. Sometimes a little longer or a little shorter depending on the color. Blacks I can usually turn out in a few weeks.
Duplicate work:
When you have me paint for you then you are granting me the right to display your model on my website as part of my work portfolio (with credit given). If someone copies that model from pictures on this site I am not responsible for their actions. As noted on all my pages everything within these pages is subject to copyright.
I will never exactly duplicate a model I have painted.
However...
I am not selling only 'one' horse per color per mold when I take commissions. I am selling you your paint job only. I am not selling you a guarantee I will never paint that mold in that color again with those markings. I will do my best to make every horse individual but I will not promise to never paint another bay Arabian on a popular Arabian model just because I've already done one for someone. If someone asks for a black horse with the same amount of markings on the same mold I will do my best to make the markings different but I will not turn away the second person.
If this is a major issue for you and you want a model that is 100% one of a kind never to be painted again on that mold with those markings I am not the artist for you. I cannot afford to 'limit' myself to only one horse per color per mold. Thanks for your understanding.

Payment Information:
Body must be shipped to me, you must pay shipping both to me and back to you. Shipping will be exact shipping with no handling fees attached.
Payment must be made in Paypal or POSTAL money order only. You will be given my address when order is accepted.
Payment is expected in full when the model is completed. You have one month to pay for your model after it is completed. If you do not pay in this time you will forfeit your body and it will be resold by me to recoup my time spent on creating it. By ordering a model from me you are agreeing to pay before a month's time is up from the date finished photos are emailed to you.
If you prefer to pay for your custom model up front you may do so.
Trades:
I will accept some trades for things on my extensive want list here. Trade models must be sent in with your body. If you are unhappy with your custom you may send it back and I will send back your trade models. Your body will be considered the unrefundable deposit for the transaction though and I will keep the custom to sell to recoup the time spent and lost on that slot.

Returns:
Because of my low prices, detailed approval process, and my upfront policies about quality I will not accept returns or pay out refunds on most models.
All models have LOTS of clear detailed photos sent to you before sealing and all 'flaws' will be described. If you choose to approve the horse based on this information I will take that to mean you are happy with it. I will at this time offer to fix flaws if needed/requested.
All models will be sent to you INSURED. I am not responsible for damage the post office does, you will have to take that up with them with an insurance claim.
