Bright Squall Designs is dedicated to offering affordable website design to people who simply don't have the means to afford the more expensive web design companies but still want an attractive looking website. All website design is done by Samantha Kroese, who has many years of experience with simple html sites and graphics.

What we offer:

Currently I am offering simple .html sites at a low introductory price. At this time I do not offer databases, flash, .php or any advanced services. I DO offer professional looking html sites with custom graphics made JUST for your site. Please note: My prices only include the actual design of the website and graphics. You must provide the webspace. Please read all the details below before emailing me.

At this time I do NOT offer any of the following: Store Fronts, Custom Logos, Shopping Carts.

Please note: My websites are not easy to update for beginners. If you have no knowledge of html or ftp programs it is recommended you pay me to update your website. I have very low update fees and can usually do updates within the week requested.

Introductory Pricing:

*Note: Only a limited amount of websites are available for these prices. Once I reach that number I will be closing the introductory prices and my pricing is likely to go up. Prices are subject to change at any time, though I will never change the price after I've given you one and we've agreed to the business deal. Remember these prices only include the actual design/graphics/setup of your site. They do not include whatever costs may occur from website hosting costs.

Recommended hosts are:

Paid Webspace Hosting (no ads) - 1and1.com

1and1.com is the host I current use and they offer webspace for as low as 3.99 a month. I've used them for over a year with no problems, they seem very reliable.

Tripod - Free Hosting, banner ads/pop-ups

I've successfully used Tripod for many years for my free websites, and would recommend them to anyone wanting to start out with a free site and doesn't mind banner ads on the top and bottom of their site.

You are NOT required to use either one, you may use any webhost service that you wish. If you are new to websites or the internet I will set it up for you, but you will be responsible for any fees paid to the companies for their webhosting services.

Prices:

Basic Site - One time set up package: Limited to 5 'pages'. These pages can be anything from a text only page, to a page with a few photos. Please see examples below. This does include custom graphics (background image and banner only, one set that will be used throughout the pages). This package is a one time set up with NO updating/maintanance included. This is a great idea for those who just want a simple website online that they can update themselves, or something that will not be updated regularly. - $45.00 - *Full Trade Value is $70.00

Advanced Site - One Time Setup package: This is for the more involved sites (see examples below). Photo galleries, pages with table setups or other more difficult designs. This does not include updating/maintanance. It does include custom background image and banner, and also up to 5 'buttons'. - $60.00 - *Full Trade Value is $85.00

If you would like me to continually update your site with maintanance on existing pages whenever required it will be $10.00 for the first hour, then $1.00 for each additional hour. *Full trade values are slightly higher. For adding new sites/webpages prices will have to be worked out on an individual basis.

For photo galleries with large amounts of photos (50+), or sites with more than five pages or multiple graphic sets or sites that will need a lot of updating/maintanance please email me with your ideas for a free quote.

How long it takes:

Due to the nature of how these things have been working I'm unable to give a definite answer as to when your website will be ready. This relies heavily on if you provide me with everything you need on the site IMMEDIATELY or if I have to email you back and forth several times and wait for responses. So far it hasn't taken me longer than a month to get a website up and running. I expect it will take much less time if you have everything ready up front and ready for me to go.

For simple updates I can usually work these in and finish them within the week they are requested. For more complicated updates (adding new pages for instance) it may take a bit longer.

Right now I am doing websites in my spare time as a side income. I can usually work on them on my days off or around the times I work.

What I will need:

I want to help you make your dream website. To do so I need the following information, minimum:

1. How many pages you want the site to be

2. What you want the title of each page to be

3. What you want each page to say

4. The photos/text and whatever else you want on your site sent to me (after agreement is reached and I've been paid NOT before) through email. This should be sent as 'page #' and only the information you want on that page.

5. Up to 3 colors you want on your website (try to be specific if you want specific colors, light or dark for instance).

6. Copyright information for ALL photos/graphics/text that you don't own the copyright information to. This includes name of the copyright holder AT LEAST and will be credited on the page. I also will need to see some kind of proof that you have permission to use these items from the original copyright holder. BSD is NOT responsible for any copyright violations made on the part of the customer hiring us.

The more specific you are the closer your website will look to what you are picturing.

You may choose one of two ways to order your site:

1. You can either send me all the information, pictures, text and whatever else you want on your site and a general idea of what colors you'd like to see, how many pages, and what your general idea is for your site. If you have no idea what you want your site to look like that's ok! IF you are doing it this way I ask that you give me free rein to set up your site to be the most attractive I can make it and request you aren't really specific in placement or needing exact colors matched.

2. You can have all your information together in a very organized manner. I will need you to be VERY specific on how many pages you want, what you want on them, where you would like the text/photos, and what you want your pages to say. Please do NOT just send me everything, expect me to build the website then pick it apart because it's not what you wanted. I need you to be specific if you have a specific look/feel in mind.

Payment Information:

Payment is expected up front. You must purchase webspace up front (which of course will be yours to keep no matter what). I will strive to continue updating your site (up to 3 redesigns) until you are happy with it. 10% of your payment is non-refundable period. If there comes a point where we agree that we won't be able to finish the deal I will either give you a full refund (minus the %10 fee, graphics/design I did can NOT be used at all by you, you agree not to use them, they will be taken completely offline and are considered mine to do whatever I want with) or a partial refund (graphics are yours to keep but website will be taken down).

I can accept payment through paypal, or by money order/personal check (preferred). Personal checks must clear before any work is done on your site. More payment details will be discussed after an agreement is reached.

*Trades:

I may consider trades for model horses on my want list. Trades MUST be worked out on a personal basis depending on what you are offering and what I need at the time. Trade value for a website is likely to be higher than the price you would pay if paying in actual money. You are expected to pay postage for any and all trade items.

Website Types:

Any website ideas (excluding indecent R or X rated sites) are currently considered. I usually do model horse related (S/D Listings, Club Pages, Photo Galleries, Artist Galleries) or pet/animal related (personal pet pages, animal breeding/farm pages). I have also done video game related sites (guild pages for example). I've also done a few storefronts/business pages. I can do them with any color imaginable and can make graphics either from your own photos, or from stock photos. I will not do pages that infringe on anyone's copyright, or that contain copyrighted material that doesn't belong to the author.

Other Graphics

I have also done 'Stallion advertisement' ads (full page, half page, for magazines or handing out). I've also done advertisement pages/half pages for artists, businesses and individuals.
